A core
and a circle

A band founded by four, grown into a collective. Everyone who has shaped, and still shapes, the story of E Zinzale.

The core

The Lafarge brothers

They have carried the project forward since 2002. But E Zinzale has never rested on two people: from the start, Fred Nello set the rule: if one is missing, another takes their place.

Laurent Lafarge

Born in 1974, he followed his musician parents on tour from early childhood: from the Hilton in Tunis to Club Med resorts, by way of the A Stalla cabaret in Calvi.

Co-founder of L'Alba in September 1991, he made a living from music with his father in Lucien Ferreri's orchestra after two years of national service. He started E Zinzale on keyboard before moving to guitar. After several years devoted to entrepreneurship, he came fully back to the stage.

Sebastien Lafarge
Vocals · Guitar

Sebastien Lafarge

Born in 1980, a guitarist from a very early age with an almost immediate grasp of music. The more gifted of the two brothers, by his elder's own admission.

A professional at 16, a registered performing artist at 18, a pillar of L'Alba for years. He has also sung with Sumenta Nova, where he features among the voices on the live album. A complete guitarist and an accomplished singer, with a tone that's entirely his own.

The circle

Those who play with us

The collective was built with them, over the years, the projects and the stage line-ups. No one really joins or leaves: depending on the date, the venue and availability, everyone can take their place on stage again.

Repertoire

From the 70s to today

Corsican singing remains the root, but it lives inside a much wider set list, able to speak as much to a Corsican audience as to visitors from elsewhere. An evening happily starts gently to end firmly danceable.
